About – Company History

When we founded our company in 1977 our vision was to build a mobile vehicle product that was state-of -the -art, rugged and cost effective. That same vision and commitment to excellence is as valid today as it was a quarter century ago and is evidenced by the fact that nearly every Shook built production vehicles delivered using our custom fabricated housing during the past years are still in the field operating.

A major advantage our clients find in allowing Shook to design their new vehicles is our nearly 3 decades of experience in designing and delivering top quality mobile systems. Shook’s interior layouts have become an industry benchmark for operating convenience and our structural design is the strongest in our industry. In fact we were the first electronic coach company to offer a 3 year structural warranty on Shook built housings.

The owners of our company all came from diverse facets of the high technology manufacturing and the broadcast television and radio industry. Our strength, in this industry is being blessed with a staff of highly respected professional broadcast engineers with superb mechanical and electrical skills who design vehicles for the television, radio and satellite remote market from the wheels up. As such we make it a point to keep up with the latest technologies.

While other builders are scrambling to understand the industries migration to digital SD–HD technologies, Shook has been designing digital units for several years, anticipating the needs for improved HVAC and power systems and utilizing digital capable video, audio, intercom cabling and connectors. We use state of the art design techniques and AutoCAD computer aided design systems to provide our clients with good solid documentation on their unit. In addition, we publish in house complete operations and basic maintenance manuals for our clients.

We are proud to say that our phenomenal growth is not limited to just the US domestic market. Shook is a truly global company and has units operating in over 25 foreign countries. We enjoy an excellent reputation for engineering expertise and after sale service support worldwide. Unlike many other companies, we’re not freight truck, fire engine, medical trailer or ambulance body builders who are trying to understand and assimilate the unique requirements of the remote broadcasting environment.

Currently we hold several patents on new structural designs using technologies. These new designs have helped keep our company on the cutting edge of mobile electronics vehicle technology.

You have our assurance that Shook Mobile Technology is committed to continuing our leadership in remote broadcast vehicles for many years to come.
